“GODDESSES”

To get lost in a look… to sink into a smile: Demetra and Kore, the most precious gift this earth has given.

The emotion in “ veiling” them has been so powerful to drive me along a 2500 year trip, among cults, rites and mysteries, symbols… signs and “ aims”.

I crossed through time, meeting the Hours, Air, Fire and Earth.

A vertical journey up to Mother Earth’s womb, visions of goddesses… sometimes through flowers that scent the air, sometimes through feathers from which they fly off. The triumph of lightness: 21 grams, the weight of Soul in the light of Down.

Silk tulle sculptures: coated, laser cut, graffited, embroidered.

Yesterday’s goddesses as much as today’s revealing themselves to a world of eternal beauty, about Sicily that is female…

From the pure white of salt to the deep black of lava.

Yarns twist antique macramé, like old linen tulle doilies; Sciacca‘s corals for “dowry” and, more, jewels carved like a just started story.
